Overview

Welcome to camerastudio.app (the “website” or "App"), a service provided by Codimite PTE LTD. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) governs how we collect, use, maintain, protect, and disclose your information when you access and use the website, as well as any related services, tools, or features provided by us (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy applies to information we collect through our Services and in email, text, and other electronic communications sent through or in connection with our Services. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Services.

1.1. You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services.

1.2. By accessing or using our Services, you affirm that you are of legal age to enter into these Terms, or, if you are not, that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to enter into these Terms.

You represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms and to abide by all of the terms and conditions set forth herein.

2. Description of the Services

2.1. Camera Studio (“Camera Studio”) provides a document camera application designed for Chrome OS, allowing users to capture, display, and potentially save images and video feeds (the "Services"). The Services may include features that allow you to save content to your local device or to third-party cloud storage services like Google Drive, subject to your authorization. Camera Studio also offers features like zoom, rotation, mirroring, freezing, and drawing tools (the "Services"), all optimized for ease of use in both online and offline environments. In addition, feedback can be submitted directly through the application, and the app is accessible without requiring login unless cloud storage features are used.

2.2. Camera Studio also includes accessibility support, such as ChromeVox screen reader compatibility, to ensure usability for users with visual impairments.

2.3. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services (or any part or content thereof) at any time with or without notice to you, and we will not be liable to you or to any third party should we exercise such rights.

3. User Accounts

3.1. Google Sign-In: If you access our Services features that require authentication, such as connecting to Google Drive, you will do so via Google Sign-In. You authorize us to access certain Google account information as described in our Privacy Policy and permitted by you during the Google authorization process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials.

4. User Conduct and Responsibilities

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Services:

  • 4.1. In any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation, including the laws of Singapore.
  • 4.2. For the purpose of exploiting, harming, or attempting to exploit or harm minors in any way by exposing them to inappropriate content or otherwise.
  • 4.3. To transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material, including any "junk mail," "chain letter," "spam," or any other similar solicitation.
  • 4.4. To impersonate or attempt to impersonate us, a company employee, another user, or any other person or entity.
  • 4.5. To engage in any other conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Services, or which, as determined by us, may harm us or users of the Services or expose them to liability.
  • 4.6. To capture, store, or share any content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. You are solely responsible for the content you capture, store, and share using the Services.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

  • 5.1. Our Services: The Services and their entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Codimite PTE LTD., its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by Singaporean and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. These Terms permit you to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use (or internal business/educational use as appropriate for a document camera app) only.
  • 5.2. Your Content: You retain all of your ownership rights in any content you create, capture, upload, or store using the Services ("User Content"). However, by using features that involve third-party services (like saving to Google Drive), you are subject to the terms and policies of those third-party services. We do not claim ownership over your User Content.
  • 5.3. Restrictions: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, display, perform, create derivative works from, or transmit any part of the Services without our prior written consent, except as otherwise permitted by law.

6.1. Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

7.1. The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us, such as Google Drive. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Codimite PTE LTD shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services. We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit or utilize.

7.2. Your dealings with third parties found on or through the Services are solely between you and the third party. You agree that we shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage arising from your interactions with such third parties.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

8.1. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. NEITHER CODIMITE PTE LTD. NOR ANY PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH CODIMITE PTE LTD. MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION WITH RESPECT TO THE COMPLETENESS, SECURITY, RELIABILITY, QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICES.

8.2. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, NEITHER CODIMITE PTE LTD. NOR ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH CODIMITE PTE LTD. REPRESENTS OR WARRANTS THAT THE SERVICES, THEIR CONTENT, OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, THAT OUR WEBSITE OR THE SERVER THAT MAKES IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT THE SERVICES OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CODIMITE PTE LTD., ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS, OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES, ANY WEBSITES LINKED TO IT, ANY CONTENT ON THE SERVICES OR SUCH OTHER WEBSITES, INCLUDING ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY, PAIN AND SUFFERING, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF DATA, AND WHETHER CAUSED BY TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE.

9. Indemni cation

10.1. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Codimite PTE LTD., its a liates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective o cers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable a orneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Services, including, but not limited to, your User Content, any use of the Service's content, services, and products other than as expressly authorized in these Terms or your use of any information obtained from the Services.

11. Termination

11.1. We may terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.

11.2. If you wish to terminate your use of services involving your Google Account, you may do so by revoking the app's access through your Google Account se ings. You may simply discontinue using the Services for other features.

11.3. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its con ict of law provisions.

12.2. If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not a ect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

12.3. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of Singapore, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in e ect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Services and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Services. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

12.4. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Singapore for the purpose of litigating any claim or dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services.

13. Changes to Terms

13.1. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will endeavor to provide at least thirty (30) days' notice prior to any new terms taking e ect, which may be provided via the Website or through other contact information you may have provided. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

13.2. By continuing to access or use our Services a er any revisions become e ective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Services.
