Welcome to camerastudio.app (the “website” or "App"), a service provided by Codimite PTE LTD. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) governs how we collect, use, maintain, protect, and disclose your information when you access and use the website, as well as any related services, tools, or features provided by us (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy applies to information we collect through our Services and in email, text, and other electronic communications sent through or in connection with our Services. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly
  • • Account Information (if applicable): If you create an account directly with us (separate from Google Sign-In), we may collect your name, email address, password, and other information you provide.
  • • Communications: If you contact us directly (e.g., for customer support), we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or a achments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.
B. Information Collected Through Google Sign-In
  • • If you choose to sign in to Camera Studio using your Google Account, we will request your consent to access certain information from your Google Account. This information is used to authenticate you and enable features related to Google services. The information we may request includes:
  • • Basic Pro le Information: Your name, email address, and pro le picture. We use this to personalize your experience in the App and for account identi cation.
  • • Google Drive Access (Limited): If you choose to save snapshots to your Google Drive, we will request speci c permission to interact with your Google Drive. This is strictly limited as detailed below.
C. Information Collected Automatically
  • • Usage Data: We may collect information about how you access and use the App, such as features utilized, time spent on the app, and interactions. This data is o en aggregated and anonymized.
  • • Device Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access our App, including hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identi ers (if applicable), and mobile network information.
  • • Log Data: Our servers may automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, location (depending on your permissions), and cookie information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

  • I. To provide, operate, and maintain our Services (e.g., allowing you to capture and view documents).
  • II. To personalize your experience.
  • III. To enable you to save your captured snapshots to your Google Drive, if you choose to use this feature.
  • IV. To improve, personalize, and expand our Services.
  • V. To understand and analyze how you use our Services.
  • VI. To develop new products, services, features, and functionality.
  • VII. To communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the Service, and for marketing and promotional purposes (with your consent where required by law).

  • IX. For compliance purposes, including enforcing our Terms of Service, or other legal rights, or as may be required by applicable laws and regulations or requested by any judicial process or governmental agency.

3. Google User Data & API Policy Compliance

Camera Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, for Google Drive integration:
  • I. Purpose of Access: If you authorize Camera Studio to access your Google Drive, it is solely for the purpose of enabling you to save snapshots taken within the App to your Google Drive.
  • II. Scopes Requested: We request access using the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file scope.
  • III. How We Use Google Drive Access:
    • A. Check for the existence of a folder named "Camera Studio" in your Google Drive.
    • B. If the "Camera Studio" folder does not exist, the App will create it in your Google Drive.
    • C. Upload the snapshot image file (created by you within the App) into this "Camera Studio" folder.
  • IV. Limitations on Use of Google Drive Data:
    • A. Camera Studio does not access, read, modify, or delete any other files or folders in your Google Drive outside of the "Camera Studio" folder and the specific snapshot files it creates within that folder at your direction.
    • B. We do not use this permission to browse your Google Drive.
    • C. We do not use information from your Google Drive for advertising purposes.
    • D. We do not sell or transfer your Google Drive data.
    • E. Access to this data by human personnel at Codimite PTE LTD is strictly limited to necessary troubleshooting or support initiated by you, or as required for security or legal compliance.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • I. Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work (e.g., cloud hosting, customer support platforms, analytics providers). These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed.
  • II. With Your Consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent. For example, saving files to your Google Drive is done with your explicit authorization.
  • III. Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena.
  • IV. Vital Interests and Legal Rights: We may disclose your information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
  • V. Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Services of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, data transmitted to and from our app is encrypted using HTTPS.

However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information you transmit to us is at your own risk.

If your snapshots are saved to your Google Drive, the security of those files within your Google Drive is subject to Google's security practices and your Google Account settings.

6. Data Retention and Your Rights

Data Retention: We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as needed to provide you Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Data stored directly in your Google Drive (like snapshots in the "Camera Studio" folder) is under your control and subject to your Google Drive retention policies.

Your Rights & Choices:

  • Access, Update, or Delete Information: Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, update, correct, or request deletion of your personal information that we hold. You can often review and update your account information directly within the App settings. For other requests, please contact us at camerastudio-support@codimite.com.
  • Revoking Google Consent: You can revoke Camera Studio's access to your Google Account at any time by visiting the "Apps with access to your account" section of your Google Account settings (usually at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions). If you revoke consent, features requiring this access (like saving to Google Drive) will no longer function.
  • Opt-out of Marketing Communications: You may opt-out of receiving promotional communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send, or by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or a higher age threshold depending on applicable jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside Singapore and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Singapore and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
